Tyka was founded in 2026 by a group of attorneys who spent more than two decades together building one of the most recognized insurance coverage practices in the country. In that time, we developed a deep bench of elite talent, earned enduring relationships with leading insurers, were recognized 10 times as a Law360 Insurance Practice Group of the Year, and held a Chambers Band 1 rating for more than 20 years.
We created Tyka to carry that work forward within a firm dedicated exclusively to insurance coverage. The name Tyka is adapted from tyche (τύχη), a word ancient Greeks used for fortune, chance, and their effects—the contingency and the consequence. Modern insurance turns these same forces of uncertainty into managed risk, promising coverage for a world filled with chance. Tyka is the firm insurers turn to when that promise is tested.
