Website Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 1, 2026
1. Introduction
Tyka Law LLP (“Tyka Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit our website at www.tykalaw.com (the “Site”). By using the Site and providing your personal information to us, you give us permission to process your personal information as described in this Policy.
This Policy applies to the Site only. It does not govern information collected in connection with the Firm’s legal representation of clients, which is subject to attorney-client confidentiality obligations and the terms of individual engagement agreements.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
The Site does not include contact forms, intake forms, or account registration. If you choose to contact the Firm using an email address or phone number listed on the Site, that communication takes place outside the Site’s infrastructure. Please note that contacting the Firm does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship, and we encourage you not to include confidential or sensitive details about a legal matter in an initial communication.
If you are interested in employment with the firm, our Site directs you to email careers@tykalaw.com. Any materials you send to that address, such as a resume or cover letter, are used solely to evaluate your candidacy.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, the links you click, and the date and time of your visit. Section 3 describes these technologies in more detail.
Information From Third Parties
LinkedIn may provide us with aggregated demographic information about Site visitors, such as job title, industry, and company size, through the LinkedIn Insight Tag described in Section 3. This information is reported in aggregate and is not linked to individually identified visitors on our end.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar digital technologies on the Site. We use these technologies to ensure that the Site functions efficiently, to understand how visitors use the Site, and to improve the performance of the Site.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Some cookies are set directly by us; others are set by third-party services operating on the Site. The categories below correspond to the choices presented in our cookie consent banner.
Strictly Necessary Cookies. These cookies are required for the Site to function. They include cookies set by CookieYes, our cookie consent management platform, to record and honor your consent preferences. These cookies cannot be disabled through our consent tool.
Analytics Cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are visited most often. Google Analytics is configured to anonymize IP addresses, and we do not connect it to any advertising account. You can learn more about how Google uses data at google.com/policies/privacy/partners, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
Marketing and Retargeting Cookies. The Site uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a code snippet provided by LinkedIn Corporation. The Insight Tag collects information about your visit, including the URL, referrer, IP address, device and browser characteristics, and timestamp, and shares it with LinkedIn. This allows us to receive aggregated reports about our website audience and to show relevant content to Site visitors on LinkedIn. LinkedIn may associate this data with your LinkedIn account if you have one. You can manage your advertising preferences directly with LinkedIn through your account settings at linkedin.com/psettings/advertising.
Client Relationship Management Cookies. We use HubSpot, a platform provided by HubSpot, Inc., which places a tracking script on the Site. This script collects page visit data and assigns anonymous identifiers to recognize returning visitors and understand how visitors engage with pages on the Site. No form data is collected through HubSpot on this Site. More information about HubSpot’s data practices is available at legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.
Managing Your Choices. When you first visit the Site, a consent notice powered by CookieYes allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies by category. You can change your preferences at any time through the “Your Privacy Choices” link on the Site. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through browser settings, though some features of the Site may not function properly if you do.
4. How We Use Your Information
We may use personal information we collect through the Site for various purposes including:
- Operating, maintaining, and improving the Site;
- Understanding how visitors use the Site so we can make it more useful;
- Reaching Site visitors with relevant content on LinkedIn;
- Evaluating employment candidates who contact us;
- Protecting the security and integrity of the Site;
- Complying with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and legal obligations as well as our policies; and
- Any other purposes, as allowed by law or with your consent.
We do not use automatically collected information to make decisions about individuals, to build profiles for purposes beyond those described in this Policy, or to sell to third parties.
5. How We Use Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we have no plans to do so. We do not share visitor data with data brokers or with advertising networks beyond LinkedIn as described below.
We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers. We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, including our email platform, HubSpot (our customer relationship management platform), and Google, which provides analytics services through Google Analytics. These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
Advertising Platform. As described in Section 3, information about your visit to the Site is shared with LinkedIn through the LinkedIn Insight Tag for audience analytics and advertising purposes.
Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Consent. We may share your personal information with your consent or at your direction.
6. Data Retention
We retain information collected through the Site for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of Google Analytics. Third-party platforms such as Google, LinkedIn, and HubSpot may retain data they collect through the Site in accordance with their own retention schedules.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect through the Site. The Site uses SSL/TLS encryption to secure data transmitted between your browser and our web server, and is hosted on managed WordPress infrastructure provided through GoDaddy, which maintains its own physical and technical security measures. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to websites operated by third parties, including the Firm’s LinkedIn page. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of any third parties, including vendors who provide analytics and other tracking technologies associated with the Site. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from visitors under the age of 13. If we learn that we have received personal information from someone under the age of 13, we will delete such information in accordance with applicable law.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable law regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you. If you would like to make a request, please contact us using the information in Section 12. We will consider all requests in good faith and respond in accordance with applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. When we do, we will post the revised Policy on this page and update the “Effective Date” at the top. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after any update to this Policy will constitute your acceptance of our changes.
